High School
This is Achieve High School
Achieve Online is a fully online, alternative high school serving 9th grade through graduation. Achieve follows the D11 calendar for school days and attendance while offering a 24/7 virtual learning experience along with an alternative learning environment. Our staff provides academic support and flexibility to students who are unable to thrive in the structures found in traditional school settings. By implementing a robust online curriculum through Schoology, a student can balance their responsibilities and personal schedule.
High School Supports
Students can receive support from their teachers in a variety of ways at Achieve Online:
- Individualized support- Students can reach any teacher by phone, text, or email to get help. Appointments can be requested to set up one-on-one WebEx sessions.
- Office Hours- Teachers will have virtual office hours posted each week in their Schoology classes that any student is welcome to join. Students should sign into a class and find the WebEx folder to find the link to click on and the dates and times this is offered.
- In-building Support- Students can meet with teachers on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:15-2:45. Students can come and work in the learning lab with Mr. Garcia on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:15-2:45.
Wednesday and Friday In-Building Support
Students have the option to come to the Wasson Academic Campus on Mondays and Wednesday, but attendance is not required. School begins at 8:15 am, lunch is from 11:30am to 12:00pm, and the day ends at 2:45pm. Upon arrival at school, students will work with a teacher advisor to create an individualized plan for success at school on that specific day. This means a student’s day could look different each day based on their academic and social needs. The plan created by the student and teacher each morning may include time to work on specific classes with guidance from a teacher in that content area, independent work time, social/fun activities, and the option to attend off-campus trips.
If a student needs to leave the building early (before 2:45pm), the parent or guardian needs to give permission to Stephanie McCorkle in the counselor’s office. 719-328-3015 or email at: STEPHANIE.MCCORKLE@d11.org.
