Phil Wortmann

Phil Wortmann, Social Studies Teacher

I grew up in Oklahoma, and moved to Colorado while serving at Fort Carson. I have taught in many other schools, to include a maximum security detention center, and Mitchell and Palmer High School in Colorado Springs. I graduated from an alternative high school, which saved me from dropping out of before earning that vital diploma, so I understand the value of alternative education more than most. I believe that every student is unique, and therefore needs a unique education. I teach Social Studies classes, to include Sociology, US History, Economics, and a variety of electives.
