Among other aspects, Achieve High School education is conducted by certified teachers through Colorado Springs District 11, so you know your student is being instructed by professionals. 

We are also one of the few online schools to realize the benefit of hosting a tutoring center, for face-to-face communication and assistance. Each student has a homeroom teacher who mentors, schedules, counsels, and "keeps track" of students as they work through their high school experience, ensuring that no child "falls through the cracks."

Likewise, Achieve Online is the only online school to offer curriculum and instruction in Music, Art, Physical Education, and a variety of other engaging elective experiences.

There is a low student-to-teacher ratio, and students graduating from Achieve will receive a District 11 diploma, as opposed to an equivalent diploma offered from other online schools.

While age is a primary factor in determining the placement level, Achieve Online staff use a variety of diagnostic assessments to determine each child's individual needs and to develop a personalized learning program.

One of the benefits of Achieve High School is that you can fit your school work around "real life." Your online learning is self-paced, meaning you can work ahead, take breaks, or even do all your work in the middle of the night.

Your in-person classes meet every Tuesday and Thursday, from 8:30 am to 2:45 pm. If you know you will be absent, please communicate with your Homeroom teacher, preferably before your absence. Upon your return, please seek out your in-person elective teachers to find out how you can make up your missing work/learning experiences. 

With homeschooling, the parent is normally the primary teacher. Homeschool families must provide all instructional materials, curriculum, and resources.

Fully trained and certified teachers provide the instruction at Achieve, whether you choose the Blended or Online model. As in any usual brick-and-mortar school, the student, parent, and teacher work collaboratively to ensure the student receives the highest quality education. While sometimes the students' place of study will be in their home, our Blended option provides in-person electives and a tutoring center for students to work with their peers and directly with their teachers; we offer a flexibility to learn in a location to suit your lifestyle and personal preference. Additionally, Achieve Online is fully accredited with the state of Colorado and provides all records, transcripts, diplomas, and support.

We offer instructions in a variety of modalities to include instruction online, in person, or a combination of both.

The teachers at Achieve Blended are highly qualified professionals, fully certified with the Colorado Department of Education, possessing an advanced degree and having extensive experience in the classroom. 

The teachers at Achieve Online work for Accelerate/Buzz, and are also fully certified with the Colorado Department of Education.

Your student is welcome to come to the Roy J. Wasson Academic Campus where they may interact with other students and their teachers. We offer in-person elective classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, and drop-in tutoring/homework help on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. 

Our Student Council also plans and hosts several student-centered events throughout the school year.

We currently offer curriculums for grades 9 through 12. If you're interested in a D11 online middle school, we encourage you to check out SPARK Academy. 

Our engaging web-based curriculum includes core courses in Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies as well as enrichment opportunities in Art, Music, and Physical Education. We offer all courses from the District 11 course catalog, as well as classes from the Accelerate course catalog. 

Our online courses (English, math, social studies, science, and online electives) are paced to finish at the end of each semester. However, students can choose to work on one class at a time, work ahead, and work at any time of the day. 

Our in-person electives are designed to be a fully in-person experience during classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays - no homework is assigned in these classes.

Achieve High School is part of Colorado Springs School District 11 and requires no tuition for students living in Colorado.

Yes.  

Achieve High School gladly accepts any student from out of district or even out of city. We are open to all eligible Colorado residents. 

Depending on a student’s IEP or 504, we can tailor our curriculum to meet your student’s needs. To discuss any circumstances please call or e-mail us. 

Our online instruction is provided through Accelerate/Buzz and costs students nothing. 

Materials used in our in-person electives are provided at no cost by the school.   

Throughout the year Achieve High School offers training seminars for our parents. Parents are also welcome to attend mentoring sessions with their child in the Learning Lab on Wednesdays or Fridays, or with the homeroom teacher by appointment. Achieve's curriculum is designed to be easy to use for parents who are working with their children.
